General FAQs

Instead of approaching the idea of a wedding head-on, we made a list of things that bring us shared joy: new places, nice restaurants, challenging scenic hikes, and time with loved ones. That got us thinking: could we have the best of both a wedding and a honeymoon? How could we make it easy for people to come see us? What would a more intimate ceremony look like? And so this beautiful in-between was born!
It took some time to figure it out, but we’re very, very excited. And we want to thank our families for being incredible sounding boards as we came up with a plan, then changed it, then changed it again. We don’t take your support for granted, and can’t wait to be together abroad!
-
No ceremony! We’re saving that for a weekend in Europe when we’re with our immediate families. Afterwards, we’ll add our written vows to this site for those who would like to look.
The vibe is intentionally low-key. Think of it this way: we’re going on a long trip together to celebrate our relationship and commitment to one another. We’d love for you to send us off (or welcome us home) with big hugs and lots of love.
-
We understand that this is an unconventional plan, but are most excited to celebrate with our families and close friends. If you haven’t received a plus-one, please don’t bring a plus-one.
-
We’re hoping that everyone can be as present as possible for celebrations.
With that in mind, we ask that kids sit out Friday in Baltimore, Saturday in NYC, and the movie/drinks evening in Austin — but they’re more than welcome at all other events!
-
There’s really no wrong answer. Events in Baltimore and Austin will be casual, but Saturday night in NYC will be dressy casual / cocktail attire.
The only thing to note across all events is that we’ll be in white — so please wear any other color! Outside of that, wear whatever makes you feel best :)
-
It depends on the event! We’ll have a tab for Friday night dinner and drinks in Baltimore, Saturday night dinner and drinks in NYC, and Friday night drinks in Austin. We’ll also have coffee, tacos, bagels, etc. throughout the weekend in Austin.
Once respective tabs are spent, everyone will be responsible for their own food, drinks, etc. We want to be transparent so everyone has the info they need to plan ahead financially and otherwise!
-
We do! You can find it here.
-
Sadly, Huck has prior committments (i.e. napping in sunshine, practicing his tricks, spreading cheer to the citizens of Austin) for the Baltimore and NYC events, but he’ll be fully present and ready to play some fetch in Austin.
